Terms and conditions

These terms govern the use of the website https://wualab.com, the Wualab desktop app and related services, offered by [NOMBRE O RAZÓN SOCIAL] (RFC [RFC], address at [DOMICILIO COMPLETO]).

By creating an account, downloading the app or buying, you accept these terms and the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into contracts.

Wualab is a Mac and Windows app that copies WhatsApp files from an Android phone over a cable to a computer or drive, verifies them, organizes them and makes them searchable. All processing happens on your device.

Wualab is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. Trademarks belong to their owners.

You may only use Wualab with phones you own or with the express permission of their owner. By using it, you declare that you have that permission.

You may not use it to access another person's information without permission, to spy, harass, extort or commit any unlawful act. Copied files may contain third parties' personal data: you are responsible for handling it lawfully.

You also may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or circumvent the app's licensing system, except as expressly permitted by law.

To buy and activate rescues you need an account with a verified email. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Let us know if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used fraudulently, with prior notice when possible.

• Rescue: lets you copy one phone. During the period stated at purchase you can rescue that same phone again without paying again.
• Professional license (monthly or yearly): a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each period, with the rescue and computer allowance stated at purchase. You can cancel it anytime from My account; it stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Assisted service: includes one rescue and a session with a technician, scheduled with you by email.
• Checking what is on the phone and viewing what you already rescued is free.

Prices are shown in Mexican pesos and include applicable taxes. The price you pay is the one shown at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, by credit or debit card or at OXXO. With OXXO, the product is activated when the store confirms the payment.

If you need an invoice (factura), request it at [soporte@wualab.com] within the month of your purchase.

• A rescue you have not activated yet can be fully refunded if you ask within 30 calendar days of purchase.
• An activated rescue is not refundable, unless the phone could not be copied because of a fault attributable to Wualab.
• The assisted service can be fully refunded if you cancel before the scheduled session.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime; periods already started are not refunded, except in case of service failure.

To request a refund, write to [soporte@wualab.com]. Refunds go back to the original payment method, within the time your bank or Stripe takes. This does not limit your rights under Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law.

Wualab copies what still exists in the phone's storage. It cannot recover files that WhatsApp or the user already deleted, or messages that are not on the phone. Before paying, you can check for free what is there.

We recommend not unplugging the cable during the copy and keeping rescued files in more than one place. The app verifies every copied file.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for losses caused by failures of the phone, cable, computer or destination drive, or by misuse of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

The app, website, the Wualab brand and their content belong to [NOMBRE O RAZÓN SOCIAL] or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms. Your files remain yours.

We may change these terms. The current version will always be published with its date. Changes do not affect purchases already made. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the app.

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. Before any claim, write to us at [soporte@wualab.com] so we can try to resolve it. You may go to Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco). For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of [CIUDAD], without prejudice to consumer rights granted by law.
